So today I discovered a pee spot on the rug that also happens to have splashed the bunny’s wooden table/castle :-/ There was an odd looking mark on the wood tuat I noticed a week ago but I just assumed it was a natural mark on the wood that I hadn’t noticed before but now I’m certain it was a urine stain. There’s also wee all under the rug How can I clean up the stain and make sure the wee doesn’t rot the wood? Is there a way I can remove the scent if it’s hone into the wood? I never treated the wood with anything because I didn’t want to make it unsafe if they chewed on it.

It was £350 custom table/castle. I’m not happy

I know we say this for everything… but vinegar and water even on hardwood does the trick! We have hardwood and with Bombur’s issues we’re always cleaning it up. So we use the vinegar and water first and then go over a bit later with some Nature’s Miracle cage cleaner. Works like a charm every time! As for the stains in the floorboards that’s a different story

It worked!! ?? I used water and vinegar on the floor under the rug and used neat vinegar on a nail brush and scrubbed the pee mark on the table and I would say the stain (including the previous mark that I realised was urine – which was a week old!) is completely gone. Or at least 99.9% gone! I’m so relieved woo! Also stuck the rug in the washing machine for good measure. Ahhh relief.

Next time if you want a better smellin house try Nature’s Miracle “Just for Cats” (it’s safe for bunnies too.) it doesn’t smell great, but it’s hetter than vinegar ?

With each passing year, I’m more and more convinced that white vinegar has superpowers.
