First off I’m Libby–Kallipso’s friend (the one from NY); she’s letting me use her account for a few reasons the main one is because she’s grounded. Anyway, hiya! I’m Marcelle the proud and doting mom of Gremlin who’s 7 months old now! To cut to the chase my pop and ma’s bought some new pellets to try but I never heard of the brand and some of the ingredients sound kind of…eeeehhhhh….gross; They said that Grem would be fine with this brand and that it’s healthy for him buuuuuuuuuuuuut is it really?

This seems to be a popular food choice lately and I’ve no idea why. The company states that hay isn’t necessary which is utter rubbish.

          Ingredients:
Wheat Middlings, Dehydrated Alfalfa Meal, Soybean Meal, Corn Dried Grains with Solubles, Feeding Oatmeal, Dried Whey, Linseed Meal, Vegetable Oil, Calcium Carbonate, Monocalcium Phosphate, Dicalcium Phosphate, Salt, DL-Methionine, Ferrous Carbonate, Ferrous Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Manganous Oxide, Manganese Sulfate, Zinc Oxide, Zinc Sulfate, Cobalt Carbonate, Calcium Iodate, Sodium Selenite, Vitamin A Supplement, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate, Ascorbic Acid, Thiamine Mononitrate, Niacin Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Calcium Pantothenate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Choline Chloride, Folic Acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Supplement

The first ingredient is wheat middlings.
“Wheat middlings are the product of the wheat milling process that is not flour. A good source of protein, fiber, phosphorus, and other nutrients, they are used to produce foods like pasta, breakfast cereals, puddings, and couscous for humans, as well as fodder for livestock and pets”

I used to use small world because it’s cheap. Please don’t use it it’s not healthy. It won’t give your bunny the nutrients they need. My bunny had permanent bald spots until I switched her to oxbow pellets. Bunnies only need a small amount if pellets so it’s worth it to spend a bit more and avoid health issues.
