Alright so, my bunny is out all day, and every single night, and he sleeps in his cage, and whenever he’s in his cage, he keeps on chewing on it, or pushing his food bowls, and it’s just really annoying.

Can someone help me, please and thank you!

Just to clarify, is he confined to his cage at night? If so, it could be boredom. Bunnies are usually most active during the night so he could be frustrated that he’s confined.

If he isn’t confined but still chews on the bars of his cage…hmm, again I’d be inclined to say boredom. Does he have plenty of things to chew on and/or destroy to keep him stimulated? You could try getting some grass mats and using cable ties to attach them to the bars to give him an alternative.

Yes, every night when I go to bed, I put him in the cage. But other than that, he is free.

            And thanks!

Other than boredom, it sounds like he’s frustrated at being in the cage at night probably because he’s out all day. Could you maybe set up an xpen around the cage so he has a little more space and doesn’t feel trapped?

i Got a huge pen for mine and her first full day here we had horrific storms. She stormed her cage into an odd shape so I let her out. After 4 months of freedom she is knocking down anything she can. Causing havoc so I will have to get a way to divide the main rooms! I have had rabbits before, but she is some new super villain breed!!! I love her but can’t let her have her way like this.

Can a rabbit sob? My bunny knocked over the barrier I made twice. She chewed an indoor antenna. I thought I had it bunny proofed, but in the wee hours I heard her doing it again. I picked her up and took her to her pen. She kicked and scratched my arm. I locked her inside sadly, but for her own good. A bit later I heard a sobbing sound! I live in a wooded area, so it could have been anything, but it sounded like it was inside. Can a rabbit make such a sound?
