So my bunny is around 7 months old and for aboutt he past month he hasn’t really been playing outside he usually did – he doesn’t graze in the grass for long periods and sleep among the potplants, but instead sits on teh porch near the door, practically waiting for us to open it and let him in…

I am guessing it may because a nearby cat came into my lawn and it scared the bejesus out of him and he is scarred from that? I remember seeing the cat in the yard and my bunny around 5 meters away. He thumped once I got near and ran for dear life then thumped again. I of course had shooed the cat away by then.

How can I stop my bunny from being so scared and go back to the grazer he was? Also, my bunny tends to scratch the mosquito net (and broke it…..) to that same door. How do I stop him from scratching?

It’s a lot safer for a rabbit to be inside than for one to be outside. Besides predators such as dogs, cats, hawks, which can come out of nowhere and severely injure or kill a rabbit, there is also the possibility that a rabbit can pick up parasites from being outside, or that it can nibble on toxic plants. It sounds like your bunny is frightened of the outdoors now, possibly due to the cat, and that he would prefer to remain inside.
