I hope I’m posting to the right forum, and I’m back at it again with another possibly sick bunny. So about 4 days ago I forgot to turn on my heat before going to bed, didn’t think anything of it because I had a ton of blankets to stay warm with. Well in the morning Roger had a sneezing fit and his nose was stuffy, but there was no discharge from his eyes and no snot from his nose. Also his behavior hasn’t changed, he usually gets grumpy and standoffish when he’s not feeling well. Appetite hasn’t changed and he been just as active as ever. So my question is should I make myself a vet visit or am I just over worrying?

It’s possible not having the heat air current made the air environment more dusty or something. Based on my experience with URIs, a day or two with minor symptoms is not lethal, so it may be worth waiting a couple days to see if the sneezing stops or continues, even though the heat is back on. Rabbits don’t get colds, but they can sneeze due to URIs, irritation to their sinus cavities, and other more internal health factors (though external stress can trigger it).

He hasn’t sneezed since that first day. Nose is still stuffy. I’ll definately keep a close eye on him to see if he gets worst.
