I’ve been checking my rabbits litter tray every morning because he’s been having some poo trouble which seems to be sorting itself out now. However for the past two days he has not peed atall? And usually he leaves quite a big amount of pee over night.

Could anyone tell me what this could mean or what should I do? Do I need to take him to a vet?

        Thanks

Is he drinking water at all? What’s his diet like? 2 days of not peeing sounds really odd so I’d take him to a vet just in case.

Not peeing for that long can cause him to have a UTI, so get him into a vet. Also what issues was he having with his poops? A bunny that doesn’t poop for over 12 hours is considered a vet emergency, and so is a bunny that has runny/liquid poop. If he’s having excess cecals, his diet is an issue.

He doesn’t drink much water he never has to be honest.

To try and keep a long story short he’s been having some issues recently with runny stools and sticky bum I took him to the vet and she didn’t really check him much she just said I need to reduce his pellets and treats and make sure he’s eating more hay. Since I have done that over the past few days his poo is slowly but surely getting back to normal he’s just having abit less as he’s eating a lot less than he used too.

However the pee issue is only over the past few days but he has not peed atall in his litter tray? The only thing I could think that might have had an impact is that I took him to the vet a few days ago and he won’t pee in his carrier and we were out for a few hours and the minute he stepped out of his carrier at home he peed on the floor like he’d been holding it the whole time bless him. Maybe holding for too long has caused a problem?

I will take him to the vet and see what they recommend hopefully he will get a better checkup this time.

If he uses a water bottle, make sure it’s working properly.

Have you seen him straining to pee at any time?

                Could he be going elsewhere?

He’s made a fool of me I’ve just got home from work and he’s peed in his litter tray! Maybe the change in diet has just altered his toilet habits slightly.

I’ll still keep an eye on him over the next few days thank u all for ur advice!
