My rabbit has an insanely huge history of health issues, of which he has always over come. But i will just discuss this current issue…

So 3 years ago, Monty had all 4 incisors removed and pegs. 3 years ago!!! He has never had any issues with them since and every time he goes to the vet for vaccinations or check ups, they always check his gums. Today i felt and saw the start of a tiny tooth re growing back!!! How is this possible after 3 years???

I will take him to the vets asap but i am interested if anyone else has encountered this after such a long time?? I was so shocked!! Thankfully he’s not showing any signs of discomfort.

I did a brief search and there are cases where regrowth occurs after several months. I don’t think many case studies follow the rabbit beyond a year of no change, so that may be why it’s not readily found. But if a tooth can regrow after five months, stretching it to years is a possibility though obviously very unusual probably. You’re very attentive to find this.

I hope you keep us updated!
