SO. Unbeknownst to me a small compact of bronzer fell and spilt underneath my bed. Cue seeing Sully emerge from my bed with rather dusty pink feet. I’ve done my best to clean them off a grumpy bun. I think for the most part I got the actual product itself off, but it seems like I just can’t clean it off. He has white feet so I’m assuming since it’s a pigmented product at this point it’s just stained.

I’m hoping that if the bulk of the product itself is off and it’s just staining then things should be fine. And he seems totally fine right now, if not a bit disgruntled, but I’m worried about when he starts grooming himself and especially his back feet since those were the hardest to get it off of.

Of course I’ll be doing the usual keep an eye on him, pay attention to his eating and poops and so on and ready to take him to the vet if he seems off. I have the day off and no plans so that works out well. Also have him back in his pen so he doesn’t hide anywhere in case something is wrong. But just wondering if anyone else has any advice or information to share.

Tony once ate half an Illamasqua blush on me before I realized what he was digging in, and he was fine, albeit a tad more matte peach than normal for a bit. I think cosmetics are specifically made free from toxins (at least in the EU?) in case children eat them, so I’d absolutely keep an eye on him, but I wouldn’t be overly worried.

oh thank god. I kept switching between “I’m pretty sure it will be fine and i just need to keep an eye on him just in case”, and the natural rabbit slave reaction of “omg panic what if he dies”.

I’m pretty sure it is free from toxins as well, not in the EU but it’s a vegan e.l.f bronzer so while not specifically organic ingredients it is at least all vegan.

I wouldnt worry about it-Yumi once destroyed a compact on me:she looked like she’d been powdering her nose when i got home. She wasnt even a little phased. Another time, my rabbit had very obvious mandarin marks all over him- lesson learned to never dye hair with the door open :p

Im pretty sure most make up is fairly safe. Obviously eating it isnt great-but from what I know its fine if its just residual amounts on paws!

oh excellent. This is all very reassuring. and I’m sure Sully is much happier without me constantly checking on him.

His feet were so glam. He matched to his colour perfectly. ;P
