Hello, my dad lives in the 43rd floor of a building and I want to take my sweet Moomoo to go see him. 43 stories is equivalent to 500 ft and we will be ascending 500ft in a short elevator ride of just 1 minute. My ears pop on the 23rd floor, about. Will this drastic ascend affect my rabbit? Will it affect her ears or her comfort? We live in Florida so it is very very flat here. She is not used to changing elevations. Thank you!

Hmm I’ve not read anything about a bunny’s ability to equalise their ears, so I’ll be following this thread out of curiosity.

43 stories is pretty high and the change of pressure would be really sudden when the elevator ascends – knowing how fragile a bunny is, I personally wouldn’t risk it, but am definitely interested to know what others think!

Could you maybe take the elevator up five floors then use the stairs for a couple, then back.in.the elevator to break up/slow down the speed of ascension?

Very interesting question. Not one I’d thought about either. I’d only thought about it in regards to flying.

The thought of going up 43 floors is enough to give me a stress reaction.
              I’m a wimp.

This really is interesting. I think I’d do like Tony’s Mum says, just to be safe. I’m crazy impressed with the elevator though. Our elevator needs more than a minute to go up 4 floors.
