I have a 3 month Netherlands d dwarf bunny. I am finding that some days she has tons of droppings and other days very little. I am wondering if this is normal. I know that bunnies poop alot and she is litter trained.

Welcome to BB Luna. It’s always good to ask questions about behaviors you find odd.

Generally, vets like to hear that a rabbit’s poop is consistent in appearance. Do the poops look all similar?

Poop is directly relational with hay consumption I find. If I open a good pack of hay, Wick fills up his boxes fast, but if it’s hay he’s uninterested in, I come home and do not find many. It’s important that even in these cases, he’s definitely still pooping (a sign of gut movement, which is vital for rabbit health).

Does this information help give any sense to what you’re observing?
