I originally took my rabbit in as a foster, from the shelter I volunteer at. She had 2 2 week old babies, which is why. Both of the babies passed away within a few weeks of bringing them home? They all came from a hoarder and every rabbit developed pasteurella, which is why the babies didn’t make it. So over time, I fell in love with Kalliope and was waiting for the case to close, so I could adopt her! She was extremely social and only took a few days to litter box train her! I had to bunny proof and everything was fine. Once she was up for adoption, she was spayed and at the shelter for a couple days before bringing her home. It took her about a week to get back to herself. She has now become extremely destructive! She started to “dig”, but also chew and even started ripping up my carpet is spots, she’s started chewing on EVERYTHING including the metal to her crate area. She gets free range of the house, so is never locked up. She’ll just be in her crate eating or using the litter box and will all of a sudden start attack chew her crate. She also has even urinated on my couch and my bed. For the exception of her babies passing 6 months ago, all that has changed is her getting spayed. Which I was under the impression, will fix behavioral problems (if any), not cause them?

It sounds like she is going through the normal post-spay craze. I would expect her to go back to normal after a month or so.
