Hi, I’ve been reading a lot about unsafe essential oil and now I’m afraid to spray or have any cleaning solution near my Blue. I was wondering what do you bunny parent use to clean your house hold. I have a wooded floor. He’s not neutered and I don’t plan on neutered him or breed him at all. Well my boyfriend doesn’t want him neutered, I guess it’s a guy thing. One bunny is enough for me right now. i have no issues with him spaying at all and he only poop on the bed and pee/spray the bed if he get to it. Which is never. I also have bugs issues since I live in the desert. I want to get rid of them with out harming My Blue. I’ve seen spider and worry if one day it’ll bite him. My bf has seen Black widow. I was using peppermint oil but he doesn’t seem to like it and always go hide and I also learn it’s bad for thier health.

Hi. I really recommend neutering as it will make his poor habit decrease such as the spraying and territorial marking. It doesn’t take his manhood away.

I use vinegar and water to clean my floors and their litter boxes.

You need to get rid of any furniture that has bedbugs in it as they can hide very good and can even live in your buns bedding that will suck his blood when he’s on it and possibly cause him to be anemic.

Essential Oils are very very bad for any animal. Do you use a bug spraying inside and outside your house to prevent bugs from coming in?

I’ve had a lot of people recommend vinegar and water in a spray bottle

Sorry for the late reply. I’ve been busy and kind of forgot about this post.

@bunny house, I do not use any bug spray at all. I’m sure it might harm him or if the bug get in to it and blue is somehow come in contact with the infected bug, he’ll get sick. If I do plan to spray any bug spray. I’m taking him out for the day or two. My bf and I’m still thinking about rather to neuter him or not. He’s actually a really well behave and good bunny. He doesn’t pee/spray anyway but in his “bathroom” and sometimes on the bed.

And thanks for the cleaning solution. I’ll be using vinegar from now on.

I mix water, white vinegar, and a bit of baking soda. I also soak a lavender or basil sprig with a bit of orange rind in that mix for an hour or so, then strain. Makes safe and lightly scented cleaning spray.
