Good morning! I was wondering if those small pumpkins that you find in grocery stores that people buy for fall decor is safe for a bunny to eat? We feed our buns canned pumpkin once in a while but wondering if these little ones are safe for them? Thanks!

As far as I know, they’re safe, but pretty high fat and sugar, so should only be offered in very small pieces as a treat. As with all new foods, introduce slowly and monitor that they’re not having an adverse reaction.

I wouldn’t let a bunny eat the whole thing in one sitting. Those mini pumpkins are tiny, but that’s still a lot of sugar in one sitting.
