Hello,

I am looking for some advice about by 5 month old doe who just had a failed litter of what I thought was just 2 kits.  This was just yesterday that I found the two babies just laying on the floor.  After many efforts they did not make it.  I searched around the basement to see if there were any more than those two (we leave her cage open and she is free to roam in a bunny safe area).  Now, I may have not noticed that the third one was there yesterday, but when I found it today it was nowhere near the other two and I could swear I looked there yesterday. 

I guess my question is is it possible that she had two yesterday and then this third one at a later time?  This third one was clearly dead, and honestly didn’t look quite formed.  Again, its possible that I did not find it yesterday but I’m just not sure if having a delayed baby is possible. 

Also, should I be concerned about my doe?  She is 5 months old and we didn’t realize she was pregnant, I’m afraid she may of been too young.  She has been eating and drinking normal the whole time since the birth, and is the normal level of skiddish that she has always been.
