My Mini Lop, Jenny, just had a litter of 5 heathly babies 5 days ago. She is 1 1/2 and this is her first litter so I’ve been worried about complications. Today she was lying down in her cage and I was feeling her stomach when I felt a large hard lump moving around (may even be 2). Before she gave birth the first time, I used to lightly touch her stomach and I could feel the babies moving around and kicking so when I felt this lump that felt just like the other babies did, I began to question if she actually is still pregnant. How do I know if she is actually pregnant and what should I do?

          Hi Evie

She would really need to be checked out by a vet. If she has retained some kits, it could cause life-threatening sepsis.
We don’t have a lot of members experienced in rabbit pregnancy and babies as the forum doesn’t permit discussions about breeding. You may want to seek advice from some experienced breeders. We often recommend Rabbits Online forum for this. But I do urge you look around for a rabbit-experienced vet and get her seen. I do hope all will be well for the new mum.

I’m gonna have to echo Jersey. I would definitely have a vet look at her.
