        Hey guys.

The people who have been looking after Cinder have purchased a LOT of hay (think 4′ by 3′ by 2′) container and unfortunately won’t be having much use for it. They sadly came home to their own precious fur baby deceased to unknown causes, and now my rabbit is going to be gone of Cancer who knows when. They’ll likely be stuck with it until they can find a way to get rid of it, hopefully with some reimbursement possible. If you have any idea on how to preferably sell this hay to a bunny owner, please let me know here or PM. They’ve done a lot to help and I want to make sure they at least can get something back for what they’ve purchased. I considered selling back to local pet shops but it seems like they’d probably rather use their inventory and store use it to recover the costs instead of buying it off an individual. Thanks in advance!

When my last bun passed I had two 50lb boxes of hay leftover. A bunny rescue took one I donated but didn’t have space for the other. I ended up selling it to a local farmer for his horse.

Oh how sad for them. Im sorry for their loss. So hard when it’s unknown causes. In a way, having Cinder there, caring for her, may actually help them at this time.

If you or they are on facebook, I suggest searching for some local rabbit owner groups there. You could probably post about having hay available on there provided the group rules allow that. There is always craigslist also. You could title an add “rabbit owners” or “rabbit hay”.
Was the hay a bale or the bagged/boxed kind?

Try contacting some animal organisations also. They may buy it at reduce cost.
