Almond has had this patch on his upper lip and a tiny spot on his lower lip for about a month now. It isnt dry, just looks like hair is missing. He acts completely normal otherwise. Any thoughts? I will try to attach a picture.

No luck with attaching picture, getting all types of errors. Oh wait the link works, that took a few tries.

I’ve fixed the image for you almond. You did everything correctly, but the site can be finicky if you upload via phone vs. computer.

It looks like fur loss due to moisture perhaps? Wick has had this pretty much as long as I remember. It fluctuates with his dental problems and ringworm. If it’s been stable for a month, I wouldn’t be too worried, but if you find crustiness or flakes, I would visit a vet. Moisture attracts bacteria growth, so it can become a hot spot for fungal infections. Perhaps you can wipe his mouth after eating veggies and drinking water to lessen moisture?

I will give that a try. Joy and Captain are both doing ok, I just noticed it on Almond. Poor guy has a small dry rash on the inside of his ear toward the tip also. The vet gave us some Vetropolycin ointment to use on it which has helped a little but its still dry. I wonder if its because his sister is always grooming his ears.

And thanks for fixing the picture! ?

I agree with Wick. If it’s stable, it’s probably not anything to worry about.
