I’ve tried pretty much everything I can to stop rain from destroying carpet. At first it was just the corners she dug up but now she’s taking chunks from everywhere. Even when I’m watching her and try to get her to stop (which is hard to do when she starts trying to bite and scratch me) it hasn’t worked out. I block the stairs with an x pen but she has found multiple ways of getting through that (once she jumped on to a couch next to the pen and went to the top and jumped over it. It’s a little hard to explain without visuals lol) My parents are getting the destroyed carpet replaced with patches. But what do I do to prevent her from destroying the carpet again and again. Believe me I’ve tried all chew toys and whatnot but it won’t curb her need to dig up something. Even with digging boxes. I need a solution that won’t look noticeable (ceramic tiles are noticeable and my parents won’t do it). I can’t get her spayed atm because I’m still trying to find a vet. I don’t think a spay will fix it either tbh. It’s something she’s done since she was a baby.

Have you tried spraying with water & vinegar or gently rubbing with a bar of Ivory soap? The change in flavour will stop some buns from chewing carpet
