Long story short, my stay at the rabbit shelter as a volunteer has landed me in the position of securing the sweetest little lionhead dwarf, soon to be named Riceball. I’m not too worried about bonding yet, mostly as the shelter is prepared to help me, so all that’s left is the habitat.
Having three, I think, really is different from just two, so do you guys have any glimpses of a trio habitat? How many hay racks and litter trays do you have, as well as water bottles, hidey places, etc? Sorrel is getting a castle for his birthday soon, so I’m not worried about their play area, though I am considering expanding their cage for the occasion. Riceball still has to be neutered, so he’ll be with us in six weeks, giving me enough time to prepare, so I want to be as ready as possible!
Before anyone asks, the decision to have a trio is due to the carefree nature of Poppy and Sorrel. They are very affectionate and loving with each other, but after talking with a fellow volunteer, I feel that Sorrel doesn’t groom Poppy as much as she’d like, and she’d benefit from another partner. Sorrel is coming out of his shell trumendously since we adopted him, all because of his relationship with Poppy, so I can’t help but feel he’s a bun that thrives around other buns.
Anyway, habitat! Hit me with advice! XP
