        To keep it short:

I didn’t realize, after a long day at work, that the bunny’s bag of hay was nearly completely out.
So I drove over to the grocery store to get whatever I could find. A cheaper brand, but still Timothy hay.
I always buy Oxbow brand Timothy hay at the actual pet store.

She refused to eat this different brand of hay.

Well fast forward to now, when I finally got my bunny’s normal hay.
She isn’t eating it at ALL! I let her smell the brand new bag, doesn’t make a difference.

Yes, she is drinking water and also are some greens earlier in the day. She was also eating a pellet mix.

What should I do to get her to eat her hay again?! I’m getting really concerned, as I am aware it’s the main part of her diet.

How long now has it been since she ate a good amount of hay?

Sounds like someone is just being picky. My boys do not like the cheaper brands of hay. They won’t touch it. I remember making that mistake once. I bought some hay from Petco or something and they didn’t want to eat it. It took me a couple of days to make it somewhere that carried Oxbow. When I finally gave them some of that, they had already decided they were going to be stubborn about it. So I would be patient, she will likely eat it eventually.

About two days now. She has eaten other things like kale, pellet mix, and is drinking water. She also has normal droppings.

This change happened literally after I bought the cheaper hay. So I really don’t believe she’s sick; just being picky and I have no clue how to fix it.

Yes! I know for a fact that she is just being stubborn and picky. I just figured once she smelled the normal hay, she’d happily start eating again.

But thank you! This makes me feel a little more at ease. She has normal droppings and is drinking water. She is also still eating the pellet mix.
