My understanding is that pine is toxic to rabbits unless it is kiln dried. The first ingredient of the “Snak Shak” toys is pine shavings so my guess is that they’re toxic to rabbits, but it seems tons of people give these to their rabbits without any problem.

My bunny has one of these toys because it came with her when I recently adopted her (along with other toys and supplies). She likes to chew it and seems to be healthy. Are their any signs of toxicity I should be watching out for? Or should I just throw the toy away?

My buns love them but since they have pine as the first ingredient, I threw it away. I didn’t want to possible cause any toxicity in their bodies. I know some bun parents only give it to them for an hour and take it away.

That’s kind of what I’ve been doing for now… I only give it to her when she’s out of her cage and getting into trouble ?

Haha good! Just make sure she doesn’t injest too much at a time
