  Right now she’s being treated for GI stasis. Her behavior is normal, although a little on the aggressive side.
  
  She’s eating hay, drinking water, not eating pellets.
  
  I’m giving her 20 ml of critical care every 6 hours, benebac twice a day, metacam once a day .5 and I’ve been administering simethicone every few hours on my own.
  
  Originally she wasn’t pooping, but now that she’s been on CC and everything she is but the poops are tiny versions misshapen of her usual.
  
  She will lay normally, not in a corner, not out of her usual character. Not getting up and sitting back down, just normal bunny laying.
  
  Her stomach feels hard, bloated, slightly big. It’s been feeling this way since Sunday.
  
  Monday I brought her to the vet and that’s how I got her treated for GI stasis.
  No symptoms have improved other than her pooping now when she wasn’t before. Her behavior has remained the same, she will come run up for a treat if I shake the bag but I haven’t given her any treats since Sunday
  
  Does anyone have any idea what’s wrong with her? I find it hard to believe she has GI stasis. She doesn’t seem sick or uncomfortable. She’s eating hay still. Her stomach is bloated and hard. The simethicone doesn’t seem to be helping so I can’t tell if this is gas or not.
  
  I’ve seen no changes in her stomach being bloated since being treated for GI stasis. She remains bloated, stable, normal.
  
  The vet said she feels very gassy.
  
  That’s all the information I have ?. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Please!!

  Poor baby! Did the vet do X-rays to see what’s going on inside? Did they check her molars? She should be getting sub q fluids everyday if she doesn’t drink a lot(causes constipation if not hydrated so poops get stuck), massage the belly softly, maybe gut motility drugs( not for constipated or blocked bunnies) to get things moving along.
  
  You’re doing the regular stasis care besides the fluids, so I can’t think of anything else. Was she on antibiotics recently? That can kill gut flora and cause disbiosis( my bun is going through it now) and cause stasis

  Thanks for the reply! I went to the vet today and she got fluids.
  When they were checking her tummy they realized she has back pain and think that might be the cause of the stasis.
  They won’t do an X-ray because they say it will be too stressful and they find that it never changes the way they will treat her anyways.
  They gave me an appetite stimulant and buprenorphine as well.
  
  Today her poops are mushier than they have been. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.. the vet says she definitely has stasis ? her bloating has gone down though from a few days ago. I’m not sure what signs I should be looking for as far as improvements or how long this recovery will take. I’ve never gone through Stasis before ? I hope she’ll be ok.

  She needs to have fluids given by you at home everyday until she is better and be force fed along with baby gas drops and pain meds( buprenorphine works great but cause slow gi, meloxicam is great for short periods of time). They need to do an xray( it doesn’t stress them out, they can sedate or anesthetize her or just hold her down), it can show if she’s blocked or has a serious issue that needs to be delt with. Stasis is a symptom of something bigger going on.
