so I woke up this morning and everything was find and a few hours later I went to check on my bunny after doing a few things and she was asleep in her house however her fleece was full of squishy clumped cecotropes and what i can only guess is some pee that idnt make it to her litter box (beside it)  i have never seen them before. she’s just shy 10 weeks old and i have had her a week. This is the first time I have seen this and she has been totally normal up until now.. Then today seams a bit more sleepy along with the cecotropes.. should I be worried? or is this just her finally getting her own cecotropes and just not knowing what to do yet?

Any help in easing my anxiety about this would be great.

What are you feeding her for diet? It’s sounds like she has too rich of a diet which can upset her GI tract. At 10 weeks old she should be on 1/2 cup of pellets and unlimited hay. Greens should be introduced very slowly at 12 weeks and fruit and sugary veg slowly at 6 months.

Sounds like too much pellets to me as well. Bunnies instinctively know what to do with cecotropes so an excess would normally indicate either a diet issue or some sort of illness.

Are you sure the squishy clumps are cecotrophs? Do the clumps have the telltale shiny “blackberry” look or are they just dull unformed blobs?

She is to young for fruit and veg I wont do that until she is 6+ months old And she is on a small bit of oxbow baby bunny pellets and water and unlimited hay. And yes I am 100% positive they are Cecotrophs there is normal poop around it and she has eaten a couple but not all of them. (they seam to happen in the middle of the day. But otherwise she is 100% normal in every way and a happy healthy bunny. thats why the excess confused me.
