So Penny had some gas this morning and ended up using the last of my baby gas drops…. she seems to have made a full recovery (YAY) but I went and bought some more to have on hand.

They did not have the same brand I usually buy – but two others with Simethicone.

The first one said that is had a “yummy mint taste” – so didn’t think that was a good idea… the second one listed the medical ingredient of Simethicone 40mg/ml so I bought that one.

The brand is Infacol and it says its free of sugar, alcohol and colourant

I get home and open it up and rip off the seal to see if it had a dropper (as there wasn’t one in the box) and I got a whiff of ORANGE.
I read further down the label and missed the other ‘non medical’ ingredients.

It also has – purified water, hydroxyproplmethylcellulose, methyl paraben (as a preservative) Orange Flavour, sodium saccharin and propyl paraben (as a preservative)

Is this safe to give to the bunnies???? Or am I tossing them out? lol

I can’t return it now that I’ve opened it as its my fault for not noticing the orange lol

        Thanks everyone!!!

I’m pretty sure that’s the one I give my bunnies. I could never find an unflavoured one. It’s fine

Thanks Sarah and S&L – I think I’m more of a “Helicoptor” bunny mom with her just having gas – she had just tried a small amount of dandelion leafes the night before and was like that when I got up in the morning – so I’m thinking they didn’t agree.
Thats why I love this site… as I know to introduce things one at a time and monitor after

                You’re welcome

Ah, it’s a shame the dandelion leaves didn’t agree with her. Around here, I refer to it as bunny crack as they go wild for it

Plantain is great and blackcurrant leaves so they might be worth trying! Nettle is a good one too and echinacea (which I believe is said to aid digestion?)

OMG I know Sarah – my last bunny LOVED it.. so when I saw it at the store I picked it up for my two little ones….. the boy wouldn’t even touch it – she gobbled it up, but then had gas when I got up 8 hours later.

It’s too bad as I had already told my hubbby we were leaving one section of the back yard where he wont put weed killer so that I could grow dandelions and clover and such – thinking “Hey Free Food for the Bunnies” lol.

Thanks for the tip on the other ones – I’ll have to looking in to what they look like, as I only know nettle off the top of my head lol.
