Hi,
I realized about 2 days ago that my 7 month old holland lop was pregnant by what I thought was her sister. As soon as I realized this, I separated them (left her where she was and put in a nest box and materials and moved the other). She is in my living room and I have been checking on her often found that she had began delivering about 2-3 hrs ago. She pulled a ton of fur and made nests on 3 separate levels of her cage. Looked like she delivered one on the floor of the middle (dead, looked like a peanut) a 2nd on the bottom in the litter box, dead when I found it, and 3 in the bottom nest, a little cold but I put a hot water bottle under a towel in the nest and warmed them and they seem good now. When I checked her to see how she was, I felt 2 more babies inside, one on each side of her belly and they dont seem to be moving. She seems okay, doesnt look like shes I distress or any more contractions, but there’s definitely still babies. Its al.ost midnight so nothing I can do until to.orrow as far as a vet, but was wondering if she could have the babies hours apart?
We turned off the lights, kmade everything very cal
And I gave her some parsley and raspberry leaves and lots of water. Is there anything else that I can do for her tonight and is it normal for labor to just stop? I think she got scared after having the first 5, ran to the top level and is just curled up in her favorite spot right now.
Thanks!!
