Hi everyone, i am new to binky bunny and i am in need of some help a bit.
Soo, i have a white rabbit with baby blue eyes. well one baby blue eye now. The poor thing has had an eye infection for a good bit now. we had eye drops for her and it took away the fogginess on the outside of her eye. Now what my vet and i seen, she has the infection inside her eye and it seems to be in her pupil. we been giving her liquid peanut butter flavored antibiotics by her mouth  almost 2 months now. it cleared up in an area under her pupil but its still there everywhere else.. i stopped giving it to her for a bit because she started getting a little aggressive. which i would be if someone was giving me antibiotics by the mouth 2 times a day.
i am just worried that the infection will fatally hurt her. Shes been very clingy too.. if i am on my phone she starts biting my shirt. when i pet her she just lays on me. she is such a sweetie… i was told by the vet to get her eye removed if nothing is working at all… any suggestions or advice…?

the one picture is of her bad eye.

She is adorable! Have you been seeing an exotic vet or a regular vet as this can really change how treatment is administered.

yes we have. they deal with all my rabbits. They are trying to do everything for her. But if i am correct inner eye infections do take a good bit to go away. they gave us the same medicine and it does not seem to be working anymore.
Shes a good rabbit. but i am refusing surgery unless it’s the last option. and they do not seem to get that in my opinion honestly…

I don’t know a lot about eye infections sadly but I know a lot about other issues.

What antibiotics have you tried?is she on pro and prebiotics when she is on antibiotics? Have you don’t an X-ray or ct to see what is really going on inside her eye?

I’ve always used terramycin eye ointment. You can get it online (no prescription). Here is the link: https://www.jefferspet.com/products/terramycin-eye-ointment

This is completely safe for rabbits.

                All the best-

Enro is a good but strong antibiotic. Is she on probiotics?
