Hi everyone! So Fern has settled in really well and is super comfortable flopping down and running about the place. However, I’ve noticed that when shes exploring she seems to have little sneezing fits where she will quickly sneeze 5-10 times in a row, groom her face and continue hopping around. At first I was very concerned that there might be something wrong and to some extent I still am, that is why I’m looking for any information or advice here. My only idea as to what it could be is the fact that she is a rex bunny and therefore has super short, curly whiskers meaning that she is terrible at judging distance, therefore when she does her little intrigued bunny nudge it causes her to sneeze from hitting her nose. I’m just concerned that it might not be something so innocent, is there anything I can do or look out for etc? Thanks

          Hi!
Sneezing is not good for buns so you should take her to a vet. It could be allergies she’s having from something in your house like another animal or smell she doesn’t like as they are very sensitive and can’t be around any plug ins or aromas in the house. She could also be developing a URI that should be checked out by a vet.

I seriously hope it isn’t that serious  It does only happen to be when she is outside her cage and exploring but that could also mean it could be an allergy… Thank you for your help!

Bunnies are very fragile so I suggest you take it to the vet and they can do a regular check up as you just got her so she needs to be seen by a vet to make sure nothing is wrong with her!
