So the breeder told me she was female but she was only about 4-5 weeks old. So who knows, right? Doesn’t matter what gender she/he is now because I love the thing to death but yes initially I sought out for a female. I don’t feel comfortable getting up in her business to try to find out her sex (and I will be taking her to the vet soon because she needs a check up and to also get fixed-but I’d like some opinions before I go just for fun really) but are there certain hormonal behaviors that indicate a rabbit’s gender??
(I’m going to keep saying she since it’s easiest and that’s how I see her for right now)
She does that honking dance thing where she’s kinda stressy but going back and forth on my lap and making oinking noises and I can smell a musky scent come from her whenever she does this. I read about this online and it seems to be a male trait. Is it only for males? She hasn’t humped anything but I also don’t know if rabbits aren’t like that or not.
She doesn’t do this often but a while ago she would pant really heavily and lay out on her side and even open her legs and freeze there awkwardly sometimes and I felt like that seemed…pretty feminine horny behavior haha Maybe I Just don’t really know what THAT is.
She had a time of marking her territory of putting little poops in random places even though she’s litter trained. She never had one accident until the hormones started kicking in.
I could have sworn I had more examples but I’m not remembering any right now. Would just like any kind of input
I guess a male rabbit could pull off the name Luna too, right? haha Hopefully.
She’s just been so worked up lately and kinda can’t hold still and keeps honking. The only thing that calms her is if I grab and hold her and cradle her or put her in my lap but constantly pet her. The pressure and the cradling seem to really help her calm down.
