My baby bunny Smokey is sneezing a lot and I don’t know what to do. He’s four weeks old, and he doesn’t have a runny nose or crusties and isn’t acting strange nor is he eating or drinking irregularly but he’s been sneezing a lot over the last couple days. I was using A blend of Timothy and alfalfa hay as bedding in his cage but switched it now for a cotton blanket in case it might have been dust issues, but he’s still sneezing just less. Could this be an allergy or something more serious? I can’t get an appointment with my vet right away as they’re booked solid and am wondering for my buns best interest if I should go to a different one? If it was dust would the issue be cleared up quickly or would it take a bit? Sorry for all the questions just really worried about my little baby boy!

At 4 weeks old he absolutely needs to be seen by a vet for an overall look at, but a bunny savvy vet. 4 weeks old is way to young to be properly weaned off the mom. Bunnies shouldn’t be separated from their mothers until they’re 8 weeks old. He shouldn’t even be on solid food now while his gut is still developing. He needs to be on a milk replacement until he’s about 6 weeks old.  Honestly, at that young and if he’s sneezing get him checked for pasturella.

I agree, because he’s so young its essential that he’s seen by a bunny-savvy vet to ensure there’s nothing sinister behind the sneezing. Is there a reason why he’s not with his mum?
