My rabbit was limping a month ago but soon recovered. But at night he would make a distressed whining noise. When I came home from school he was limp, he was still moving his legs, blinking, breathing, and slightly moving his head. A few minutes later he became unresponsive. And after that he died. Please help me find out why my baby died. Thank you.

I’m sorry for your loss. Did you take it to the vet when it died for a necropsy. The vet is the only one who can tel you why it died.

I am so sorry for your loss

What did the vet say a month ago about the limping and the distressed whining noise at night?
While we aren’t vets ourselves, what the vet said about what was wrong before might help us make an educated assumption.

              Sorry again for your loss.

I’m very sorry you lost your bunny. The limping could have been unrelated. Was he whining like he was in pain or was it like he was whining when he was breathing? If it was his breathing he could have had a lung infection.

It’s not possible to say why he passed away. I’m very sorry it happened though.

It sounds like he had a injury and was whining due to the pain, the vet can analyze him closer and determine the cause of death, I’m very sorry for ypur loss
