I have recently gotten a 10 week old femal rabbit, named Tilly. After her purchase, I started to read more and more about them. She is only in her cage at night if I’m going to be gone for prolonged periods of time, but she’s out of her cage for a good 12-20 hours a day. She has free roam of my bunny proofed bedroom during this time. Is this enough?

          Hi and congrats!

How small is the cage? Do you have a picture?

I think 12 to 20 hours out is wonderful! Of course the more free time a bunny has, the better If your room is totally bun proofed, you could always try and let her out during the night too?

i try to get my bunny out as much as possible. it’s just that me and my boyfriend work all the time, and we keep them in their cages for them to be safe. we let them out as much as we can. we try to do an hour a day and all day on one of our days off (that we just stay home and watch netflix. lol)

An hour a day isn’t really enough. Can you get a large pen to attach to their cage when you’re not there?

we are trying too. it’s just we are still trying to bunny proof our room because we recently rearranged it and need to reproof it.
