So my little Bun turned One about half a month ago. This week hes been shedding, he was scratching a bit so i went through him with a flea comb and it was taking chunks of his hair out so i stopped. Hes still shedding a lot. These last few days hes began being really picky about what he eats, he wont have apple or banana i give him. I bought some new treats a week ago and up until today he runs up to me begging for them every time i come home. But right now he wont eat, neither hay nor those treats he loves. He IS drinking water but his ears are cold to touch and he is cooler than normal (Living in a very hot state though :/)
Hes also sitting funny and usually if i touch his stomach or chin he reacts, right now he isnt responding at all. If i pick him up he looks terrified and will run exactly back to the same spot i moved him from when i set him down again.
Hes either tucking himself in a corner or stretching out strangely. Im really worried, as this is behaviour ive never seen before in my baby >,<
If anyone has any advice it would be VERY appreciated.

It sounds like your bun has tummy trouble. How long has it been since he ate? If he’s not eating anything at all, don’t wait more than 6-8 hours before contacting a vet. Have you seen any poop?

You can give simethicone baby gas drops to help him if he has painful gas that can’t escape. It rather sounds like he does, since he returns to the exact same spot he was in. Stretching out weirdly, pressing the tummy to the floor like he was doing push-ups is also typical of gas. Gas and related tummy trouble is often seen with heavy shedding. It’s none the less serious though.

Baby gas drops can be bought at Walmart etc. It’s not absorbed by the body and can be given on suspicion of gas, according to Medirabbit. You give 0.5-1 ml per hour for 3 hours. It often helps within 30 minutes. There is no hard scientific evidence of this, but many bunowners all over the world swear by it.

If it’s hot and his ears are cold, it’s reasonable to think that he has a low temperature. You can warm him up in your lap, with your body heat. While he’s in your lap you can try a very light tummy massage like this:

If he’s shedding you may need to help him with the grooming to make sure that he doesn’t ingest too much fur. I run a flea comb through my bun to get rid of excess fur and then roll a lint roller over him after. If you’re just running the comb through and not tugging violently at his fur, it’s normal that chunks of fur would come out during a molt.
