Being a new rabbit owner I have a poop question. Since getting her I have always been careful to monitor that she is consistently pooping, peeing and eating, but until yesterday I wasn’t closely monitoring the shape of her poop. I have read a couple rabbit poop guides online including this one: http://www.bunssb.org/bunnies/guide-bunny-poops/ which made me notice that she has had some larger oval and smaller circle poops today. I’ll include some photos below. My question is, is this still considered normal or should I be adjusting her diet/discussing this with her vet? Should I be considered if her variety of poop sizes doesn’t go away? Is she stressed and just hiding it?
She seems like a really happy bunny. She loves to lay with her feet out behind her when she relaxes, she binkies and purrs by lightly grinding her teeth when we massage and pet her.
To my knowledge she has a good diet for her 3 pound weight. Per day she will eat 1/8 cup pellets, 2 cups leafy greens (which recently have included romaine lettuce, basil & cilantro), unlimited Timothy hay (which she is almost always eating except for when playing with us or sleeping) and she’s been drinking plenty of water. We haven’t been giving her any treats recently except for half an Oxbow papaya support per day and the variety of safe bunny wood sticks I bought off BinkyBunny.
