Have a almost 3 year old holland lop with an eye infection.  Been to the vet 4 times in the last 8 weeks. Had tear duct flushed, anti inflammatory drops and oral meds and antibiotic drops and oral meds. It looked good for about a week after the flush but now worse again. Xrays looked good, no teeth issues. He is definitely bothered by what ever is going on as he went let me touch that side of his face any more to put drops in and when I try to wipe it with a seed of warm water cloth he scrambles to get away. Will be calling the vet again tomorrow. Any other options to help my little buddy?

The first time we tried to flush the duct it was too inflamed to do so, after oral anti-inflammatory 2nd round was successfully.  Vet said there was a lot of infection and then gave oral antibiotics but after the first 3 days Mr.McFluffers decided he didn’t want that med anymore. Tried several ways of hiding it but really not sure how much he was getting. Are there antibiotics shots the vet could give that might work better?

        I would appreciate any advice!!

If bunbun is not taking necessary meds, injection might be the way to go.

I would also consider an xray to see if there is perhaps an inner ear or a sinus infection or abscess??

          Anyone else have any ideas?

It could be a kinked tear duct, which may not show on an x-ray.

Thanks everyone, vet did a bunch of xrays a month ago and all looked good. We go back tonight for a check up. I will ask about antibiotics shot.
