So my bunny Piper just got spayed and the vet gave me pain medicine in syringes but also an empty syringe and a bag of powder that smells a lot like licorice. When I was asking for guidance with the medicine from the vet (I hadn’t looked in the bag until I left) she neglected to tell me what it was. This is my first bunny and so I’ve never had to go through this and was hoping anyone had advice and also could tell me what I am supposed to do with the weird powder stuff.

the bag of powder might be critical care. you mix it with warm water to create a slurry that you feed to a bunny that doesn’t want to eat. Get the slurry into the empty syringe and use that to force feed the bunny.

Is it brown in colour? I’d call up the vet and ask just to be sure though.
