        Hello everyone
So I am going to take my rabbit to the vet soon. My rabbit will get scared most likely. Does anyone have any tips on how to reduce the scariness? I want to make this something where she will be less afraid to do. Thanks.

One suggestion is to put a cover over her cage, a very breathable fabric is a good option but a towel will do the trick over the sides, just leave the front open. This can reduce stress in the car and at the vet, where there will most likely be dogs and other scary animals. Also, a good idea to bring a change of blanket/towel for inside the carrier as well as a plastic bag in case bunny pees.

Put something familiar in the carrier, like a blanket or such that she’s used to at home.

I agree with both of the suggestions above. I didn’t think of it the first time we went to the vet and my girl Penny Lost her MIND. she was on her side and panting in fright. They had to take her right in to the back when I got there as they we were all worried.
That was her first check up to make sure she was good to be booked for her Spay… meaning I was going to have to bring her BACK.

So here is what I did, based on some awesome suggestions on this forum.

              1. Started getting her used to the carrier. I would put it out for her to inspect and explore in & would put her treats in it, so that she didn’t relate it to only bad things.
1.5. I also started putting a towel out for her to play with (make sure she doesn’t eat it.. Penny would chew and dig at it, but wouldn’t actually eat it) this then got her scent all over it, as well as the scent of home and me…
              2. Started taking her out in the carrier, WITH the Towel in it, to out in the car and just sat in it for a few minutes… back in to the house and gave a treat.
              3. Then started for going for trips around the block… then 10 minutes… (the vet is half an hour away)
              4. Oh and I would also put a blanket over the sides, play quite soothing music as the Tv and things are usually on at home and talk to her while we are driving ** NOTE – I found this helped calm my rabbit, yours might be different and prefer it to be 100% quite (minus the sounds of the car)

She still didn’t love going to the vet again obviously lol, but she wasn’t in a full on Panic when I got her there the second time for her Spay.
              Good luck!
