My bun broke his leg a few weeks ago from jumping off his cage when i wasn’t in the room The Vet says it’ll heal on it’s own because of where it was broken, and it was too high up for a splint or cast. So he is just on cage rest and he has been moving more every day but will also flop like he used to! Is this a sign that he isn’t in a ton of pain? or will they just do this anyways when they are as content as possible? I just keep worrying he is in a lot of pain but the Vet says i can’t do anything besides wait

          Poor bun bun

Usually flopping means they are feeling pretty good, so I would take it as a good sign, especially since he is moving a bit more each day.

Typical signs of pain include tooth grinding, squinting, and a hunched posture (like sitting in the most compact way possible).

Did your vet prescribe any pain meds?

Once he is healed, you could put a ramp or a box to use as a step so he has a safe way to get down from the top of his cage.

Any update on your bunny? Buns in pain usually loaf but if his leg is hurting him he could be flopping to relieve the pain.
