When I first adopted Beyoncé she had a small pach of missing fur on her neck right under her “mane” I didn’t think much of it. When I was brushing her I noticed that the small patch was no longer small it’s quite big. I did some research and 2 things came up, a skin disease or mites. I looked at pictures of the side affect of mites and it showed scabbing and lots of dead skin. Beyoncé has neither of those. Her skin looks pink and healthy. If anyone knows what could have possibly caused her balding please tell me.

Can you describe the fur follicles of the fur surrounding the bald spot? Are they healthy-looking, do they have a crust around them, do some of them come out easily when you pull on them?

Wick has had ringworm a lot, so I’m quite familiar. Ringworm moves across the skin area, so an area that used to be affected will not always look affected. It’s more so the fur perimeter you’ll see some abnormalities, because that’s where the infection currently is. The healthy skin patch could be where the infection moved away from.

They look pretty healthy, there is no crust and she is molting so I’m not sure if she is molting in that area or if it is something else. I can provide a picnic that can help
