Putting this topic here because I don’t really know where else to put it.

I’ll be painting my walls some day (it’s a big room, which means there’ll probably be a big smell), but I have two rabbits in the room. Their cages (NIC grids with twist ties) are really hard to move somewhere else since they live upstairs. I suppose I could move the bunnies one at a time in a crate downstairs, but what would I do about cages for them? I have a dog that knows they’re there and wants to play with them but would never hurt them, though I’m still a little paranoid so they stay in cages over night. They live separately for now, and are in the process of being bonded currently. Any ideas on what I could do?

You should definitely move them out of the room while painting, rabbits have very sensitive lungs. I would think the room would need a few days to air out as well. Perhaps you could wait to paint until they’re bonded, then you could make some sort of temporary pen for them to share.

Thanks! I will definitely bond them first. I think I have some extra grids leftover, so I can build them a temporary cage for downstairs.
