I recently had my buck neutered, my vet said it was ok to put back with its unspayed mom and sister on Monday but that would only be 5 days apart I am worried about them breeding if they do I can handle it but will the male be less aggressive after neutering or more?

No, you must wait at least a month, preferably 5 weeks before you put them back together – because sperm can survive in the vas deferens of the male that long.

In any case, you should always wait at least two weeks before reintroducing desexed buns. This is to allow hormones to die down. After a neuter, a bun can have hormonal spikes that make him agressive, territorial and also hyper-sexual. This is a passing thing, but it’s best if he’s kept away from the other buns during that time.

The gold standard of bonding buns is to have all buns involved desexed before bonding. Bonding can sometimes work with two intact girls and a neutered male – it’s what people had to do in the olden days (not so long ago) when girl rabbits couldn’t be spayed safely. It is however very important for the long term health of girl buns to have them spayed. Uterine cancer is very common in does aged 3-4 years.
