So I have a bit of a problem that’s wasting a lot of time and money. Since Boo’s quite a small bun she only gets 1 cup of veggies a day. I feed her 3 veggies so that means a 1/3 of a cup of every veggie. Since its so little, a small bag of salad will last me a week or even more. The vegetables go off so quickly though. A bag of rocket salad I bought started to get soggy after ONE day, and I literally gave Boo a tiny amount before I had to throw it out. And this happens with most of the veggies i buy too. Any solutions?

Moisture control is key. You want the veggies dry when they go in the fridge. If you buy a container that’s packed with veggies, get a couple storage containers and when you get home, parcel the vegetables into those. They are not packed, so there is air circulation to wick away any moisture. At the same time, remove any veggies you find that are already soggy, as they will be a source of moisture to spoil the rest.

I buy a big container of spring mix for Wick, and once I get home, I toss the entire thing and parcel them into 4 other plastic containers.

Thanks, will definitely give it a try. Just a question since I’ve only recently started feeding veggies, do you feed anything else apart from the spring mix?

Well Wick use to only get green lettuce or romaine lettuce for the longest time, so spring mix is quite the upgrade for variety, haha.

He gets spring mix and added green lettuce. I try to get either basil, cilantro, or mint to add if finances can spare for that week.
