Hey, it’s me again. Just for background, I adopted a sweet little 10-12 month old bunny from a shelter three weeks ago. At first, he did very well with his litter box. There would be a few stray poops outside of it in his own, but nothing major. I keep his hat in a repurposed shower caddy slightly abouce his box and I put his bowl of pellets in the box in the mornings because he poops a lot while he eats. This worked well. Then I started noticing he was peeing a lot outside his box, especially around the perimeter of his cage, which was annoying to clean up. I just assumed he was marking his territory. Then, a couple days ago, he decided he was just going to start pooping EVERYWHERE. His poop is probably 50% in his litter box and 50% all around his cage, especially, for some reason, on his blanket, which up until a few days ago he NEVER pooped on. I just don’t get it. Is it because I haven’t let him out as much the past two days because I’ve been so busy? He’s neutered so it shouldn’t be hormonal. I don’t really know what to do. Luckily, he’s still not pooping in my room when I let him out, but I’m worried that’s where we’re headed. What should I do?
