I made Blossom and Thumper some treats today and they loved them, Blossom loved them so much that they stole Thumper’s treat while they were eating it. XD Anyway I thought I’d share the recipe in case someone’s looking for a safe treat to give their buns. A few things first though, I originally found this treat from stormyrabbits on YouTube but I made slight alterations to fit what we have and when you’re baking it, it’s gonna smell horrible so be prepared for that.

1/3 cup pellets, bell pepper and carrots

1/2 cup *lettuce and hay bits

(*I do not recommend using lettuce since there’s no “juice”/substance to make the treat thick enough to roll in to a ball so water needs to be added, 2/6 (1/3 cup twice) cups and even then it still crumbles even after being baked.)

        1. Blend or smash the pellets until they’re in a fine powder form then place it in a bowl

        2. Blend whatever ingredients you chose (bell pepper, carrots and *lettuce) to be as smooth/fine as you can

        3. Place the new ingredients in the pellet bowl and mix them together

        4. Add hay bits and mix

        5. Set it to the side for 20-30 minutes (I did 25 minutes)

        6. Pre-heat/set oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit/117 degrees celsius

        7. Put aluminum foil on cookie sheets(s) and roll the mixture in to balls (or you can spread it out and use a cookie cutter) and place them on the pan

        8. Put in oven for 25-30 minutes (I did 30)

        9. Turn oven off but do not take them out for at least 3 hours so they can dry some more as well as cool off a bit

        10. Give to bun (once a day is suggested)

Do any of you have any DIY treats that bunnies love? If so please do share, it’d be awesome to see and try them out!

I actually seen that video and really wanted to make the treats, but I knew since it I’m so incredibly bad at baking/cooking that I would accidentally burn the house down…

Lol and that’s ok! Actually it might be for the best since while it’s baking it does smell like it’s burning.? If you want I can PM/DM you a easy cookie recipe to help you gain confidence in baking/cooking. I’m sorry, is that insensitive and forceful?

That’s so kind! Definitely not insensitive or rude? I’ve actually recently tried improving a bit and started making some easy pasta recipes. Not making much progress with the baking though, I’m just not made for it
