Hi, my 1.5 year old black rex has some crusty skin on his rear end, and when I tried to brush him his fur came out easily with the crusty flakes attached. I think he has a bacterial skin infection (pyoderma) but it’s very mild, and I was wondering if there are any home remedies we could fry with him? Thanks!

Something like pyoderma would be causing some discomfort. Is he constantly trying reach his butt at all?

It’s possible its fur mite (Cheyletiellosis).

Does his rear end get damp? You’d more likely have bacterial or fungal skin infections when the fur and skin is damp.
