I had 4 young mini rex rabbits. They ranged from 6 weeks to 12 weeks at the start of the outbreak. We had 1 pass away abruptly, and got results stating Coccidiosis was the cause of death. We immediately started treatment for the remaining 3 with Corid. Luckily, they have survived 2 weeks but had lost close to a quarter pound each, with young growing rabbits, there should have been weight gain. So I took them to the vet and they told me to use a teaspoon per day for each rabbit of this special pellet called Calf-Mana. And to add a little Alfalfa hay to their timothy hay (which they have endless access to). However, their weight has drastically increased…
Satin (8 weeks old) gained 0.21 pounds in 3 days.
Wishbone (14 weeks old) gained 0.24 pounds in 3 days.
Hazel (12 weeks old) gained 0.28 pounds in 3 days.

Is this too much? I have never dealt with anything like this before.

I’m not a vet so don’t take my advice word for word, but it looks ok. It looks like Hazel got back the weight she lost and even a bit more. Wishbone also got back the weight he lost. And then satin is nearly there, but she’s still a bit underweight. If they continue to gain weight rapidly then maybe you should talk to your vet again, but I think these pellets are just meant to put them at the weight they’re meant to be
