My 3yr old lion head mix,Pellets, gets a slow gut everytime he sheds. He eats Timothy hay like it his job, gets greens 2x a day, and pellets as a treat at night. He doesn’t even get the full amount allowed for his size bc he eats more hay that way. When he sheds it comes out in clumps. I keep him brushed during this hopeing that it would prevent his tummy issues. So far I have never had to take him to the vet but my fear is that it will catch up with him. He will refuse food, I give him gas drops and he always comes back around. Thankfully.. I have tried the oxbow science tab for digestion but I couldn’t tell a difference with him. I have read about pineapple extract but have a hard time finding a product with enough reviews that I feel comfortable giving them to him.

Do you know of a good brand that I can buy even if it is out of the USA I will order it. Is there another way that I can help him. I am worried that one day I may not be able to save him. He can have a episode a few times a week during his shed.
