I have to do those that are in a hutch together. One of them is pregnant and about to give birth in about 5 days. Do I need to remove the other dough from the hutch while the mother has her babies? Will the dough threaten the pregnant mother or the babies once they are born? This is all new territory to me

If she is pregnant, that would mean that she isn’t spayed. Unspayed females are extremely territorial and should not be put together with other bunnies.

For two bunnies to live together, they need to be neutered or spayed first, then go through a proper bonding process (there’s a BONDING section on this forum you can refer to). Not doing so may result in either fights, pregnancy (if one rabbit is male), or both.

Unspayed does also have a high chance of getting uterine cancer once they are older, so getting spayed will help prevent that and they can live a longer, healthier life.

I spoke to Kirsten privately and this was an accidental litter. A case of mistaken (gender) identity. She has the two females together now, but one of them is pregnant.

I agree with kurottabun. It would be better to separate them so mama bun can be alone with her babies. You wouldn’t want a fight or scuffle to break out, as hormonal females can be very territorial. Someone (including the babies) could get hurt.

The 2 Does will need different diet also (unless the 2nd one is also pregnant?) The mum to be should have unlimited pellets and hay. She’ll need the protein.

Is there a space in the hutch the Mum can go as her babies get older? Where they cannot get to? They can be demanding..
The mothers ony visit the babies to do the feeding, so don’t be surprised if you don’t see her attending to them much.
