My three year old(? he’s a rescue I don’t know exactly how old her is) bun Elliot is sneezing over and over again, often multiple times at once and several times an hour. Should I be worried? He doesn’t show a sign of a cold, he has no running nose or eyes and isn’t lethargic at all. The sneezes are actually quite cute but I’m worried there is something wrong. Is it possible for Bunnies to be allergic to things? I haven’t changed his bedding type or anything. He got GI stasis a few weeks back so now i’m just paranoid about his health. Thank you!

          Hi
I would definitely take him to the vet, unless you see him stuffing his face in his hay. I know my buns will do that and then sneeze a couple of times but then they stop. He could have started developing a URI and just hasn’t shown signs on nasal discharge yet. You might also not see discharge because bunnies love to groom themselves so you should look at his paws and see what color they are( if his paws are white).

Yes it’s possible for bunnies to be allergic to something. If his litter, hay and general living quarters are not dusty, he could be allergic to something that was newly added to the house, like an air freshener or carpet cleaning product etc. Of course, it could also be a URI (upper respiratory infection).

Constant sneezing doesn’t sound normal and if it doesn’t stop he probably needs to see a vet.
