  I have a 2 year old blue mini lop doe named Luna. I adopted her from a rabbit rescue who said she’d been spayed. She is pooping and eating regularly and isn’t turning down my treats but she is hiding in her twig hut that she does not usually go in. She was being extremely sweet last night until my mom went to pet her and she growled and bit her. She is now avoiding all pets and humans the best she can. During the night she also began chewing my dresser which she does not normally do. I’m worried that she might be in pain but she’s hopping and seems fine. Please help!

  What does Luna’s area look like? Is she in a pen, cage, or does she free roam? She could just be territorial about her territory, and holding a little grudge about it being invaded. Bunnies are super territorial, even when they are fixed.
  
  Also, how long ago did you get her? If you did got her recently/semi-recently, she could still be getting used to her new environment and be still be nervous around her new humans.

  Luna is a free roam bunny but mostly stays in my bedroom about 95% of the time. I have had her for a year and a half. But she is probably just being territorial, thanks I’m glad she doesn’t seem to be hurt!

  Chewing on items not usually chewed on (i.e. your dresser) can be a manifestation of stress or discomfort. Wick will chew items when he’s uncomfortable or stressed.
  
  It seems the experience with your mom may have really jolted her. She needs her sense of security back, so I recommend keeping to her usual routine so she can see things have not changed, and remind her of a positive association with humans. Hand feed her her veggies and/or pellets may help, and reminding her an approaching hand is not a threat. This could mean reducing petting frequency a bit.
  
  Make sure she still continues to eat, drink, and poop!
