Hi! I have owned my bunny since July of 2017 and I cannot figure out her breed. I got her as an early birthday present from my parents. They have no idea what breed she is either.

Her name is Luna and she is white with black spots. She has erect ears and what seems to me as very soft fur. However, she is the only bunny I have ever touched. So I don’t really have anting to compare. After researching bunny breed, she seems to me like some sort of rex, and one other person has also told me that. I am not sure which is why I’m doing this! I will add pictures for a reference.

P.S. I have new to this site and I’m not exactly sure how to get the pictures to show up.

While waiting for the forum leaders to fix your images, I clicked into your profile and saw the photos you uploaded. Will help you post it here in the meantime Looking at the plushy fur, she does look like a rex or some sort of rex mix. How big is she and how much does she weigh?

I fixed the images for you. Definitely some Rex happening there. How big is she? She doesn’t look like a mini in the pictures.

Thank you for posting the picture. Sorry that I haven’t responded, I could figure out how to find my forum ?. I am unsure of her current weight. Last time she was weighed was when she was about 7 months old and I believe that at the time she weighed 5 pounds.

                Oh lovely!
If she was 5 pounds at 7 months old, Id say she is a Standard Rex.
Does she like to lick things, by chance? I noticed a lot of people who have rex rabbits say they like to do this.

Just some things to watch with Rexes: They have a tendency to put on weight easily and as they have such short fur, they don’t have much protection on their hocks. So that combination can lead to sore hocks.
Keeping the nails trimmed will help avoid this also.

                She’s very pretty!

ETA: Her weight looks perfect in these pics. I didn’t mean to imply otherwise. It’s just something to watch with this breed.

She is a beautiful Rex! Besides her short, plush fur, I noticed her short, curly whiskers in the first photo.

                  Welcome to Binky Bunny!

Thank you so much! I was really curious about her breed. Besides me, she likes to lick my wooden dresser :. I appreciate all of your advice, which I will take into account. I do have a watchful eye out and this let’s me know just to keep one out even more! You are so kind and I love this community. Thank you again!
